Beth Ditto Kicks Off North American Tour in Hometown

Pop-punk artist Beth Ditto has become America’s queer sweetheart with her infectious melodies and clever lyrics. She’s recorded with such artists as Blondie and Cerrone, and has collaborated with designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs, with her own body positive line coming out. She also recently appeared in Gus Van Sant’s Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot, which premiered at Sundance.

Now, Ditto sets off on her own, with her first solo album, Fake Sugar. She recently kicked off her North American tour, performing in her home state of Arkansas. Following her show at Revolution Music Room in Little Rock, she departed for Nashville for a show tonight at Mercy Lounge.

Other stops on her tour include Brooklyn Steel in New York (March 14), Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles (March 23), and Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon (March 27). She’ll also perform Tuesday, March 13 on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
