A whistleblower from the lesbian community has come forward about the toxic hiring practices that are making it harder and harder to get into the field. TikToker @madihart_soccer bravely took to her account to recount her struggles with the community. Key among her claims was the allegation that today’s toxic hiring practices have become a roadblock to attaining lesbian intimacy.

“Trying to have lesbian sex for the first time felt the same way as trying to get an entry level job.”

As a group who already famously struggle so deeply with the “is this a date or are we just hanging out” conundrum, this adoption of difficult hiring practices could spell real doom. Madi noted that time and again, the interview phase would seemingly go well, Only for the hiring manager to re-evaluate Madi’s resume and become concerned about her lack of experience.

“I’m qualified, okay? I want this, okay? I’ve done all of the reading, I’m prepared […] My resume might not be long, but what I lack in experience I make up for in passion and quick-learning skills.”

Despite efforts to improve job creation, many people have to resort to demonstrating their passion just to get their foot over the threshold. The solution to this problem isn’t clear. Unpaid internships and volunteer work as methods to get experience all pose their own problems (especially in this strange metaphor.)

Fortunately, Madi did eventually get hired and if this job doesn’t work out, she can pursue her next career move with a more fleshed-out resume. While the “need experience to get hired need to get hired to get experience” loop continues to plague society, rest assured that this particular story had a happy ending.
