Actor Paul Mescal has made it clear that he’s a fan of short shorts. He’s been snapped on several occasions in the past wearing skimpy shorts whilst heading to or from the gym.

However, he made it clear it’s not just gym wear that he likes short-cut. Mescal was one of the front-row guests at the Gucci show at Milan Fashion Week yesterday. The fashion brand was showcasing its Spring-Summer 2025 menswear collection.

Mescal, 28, star of last year’s beloved queer-themed hit, All Of Us Strangers, turned up in short, cream striped shorts, a loose-fit blue shirt, and Gucci loafers.

GQ magazine caught up with Mescal at the event and asked him about his outfit.

In another clip, he confirmed what we’ve all known: “I’m a big advocate of men wearing shorter shorts.”

Online, many responded to say that they too were advocates of shorter shorts… especially if worn by Paul Mescal.

Other guests at yesterday’s show included tennis icons Serena Williams and Venus Williams, and DJ and musician Mark Ronson.

Mescal first shot to fame in the BBC drama series, Normal People (2020). His star has been on the ascendant since then. His upcoming projects include the queer-themed The History of Sound. However, the role that’s likely to place him on the A-list is the lead role in the Gladiator sequel from Ridley Scott.

Paparazzi shots of Mescal in costume leaked earlier this month, while reshoots of some scenes took place in England. The movie is slated for release later this year.
