Alex Consani just made history — again. And this time, she didn’t do it alone.
The 21-year-old model, influencer, and trailblazer made headlines earlier this year when she became the first transgender woman to ever be nominated for Model of the Year at The Fashion Awards. On Tuesday night, she took over the internet again by appearing in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, occurring for the first time since 2019.
Consani was one of two transgender models to walk the runway, along with Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio. Together, they made history as the first trans models to ever be part of the legendary fashion show.
“I’m so excited. It’s my first ever Victoria’s Secret show,” Consani told Paper behind the scenes. “I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’m here.”

When asked what “the secret” is, Consani replied, “The secret is that this hair is not mine.” Then, pointing to her crotch, she joked, “But she is. Oop!”
Folks across the internet were beyond proud to see Consani and Sampaio stomp down the catwalk.

There was one problem, though. As is typical for Victoria’s Secret models, Consani wore a pair of angel wings as she walked the runway — but people didn’t think the plush blue wings Consani was assigned quite lived up to the standard fantasy for the shows. Nonetheless, it’s yet another sign that Consani is taking over the world, and we couldn’t be happier to see it.
