It’s no secret that Hasan Piker, left wing content creator and extremely popular Twitch streamer, has a massive gay following—to the point that his armpits are about as famous as he is. Now, he’s revealed that he’s always known exactly what he’s doing with those armpit poses.

Along with making progressive political content, Piker often contributes thirst trap content of the armpit variety. Case in point:

While covering the DNC on live stream this week, Piker explained that he knows his armpits have their own fanbase. Specifically, within a series of news clips about the rising presence of content creators at the DNC, Piker jokingly responded to a segment on Josh Helfgott, an influencer who shares “gay news” political updates.

​​“I’ll be honest, I do breaking gay news every day when I flex my pits on the timeline,” Piker said. “I don’t have to say ‘Breaking Gay News.’ I live it, you know what I mean?

“I’m breaking the gays every time I do that.” Fact checkers everywhere were unable to find the lie in this statement.

But it’s more than Piker’s armpits that have earned him a queer following. As a left wing commentator, he advocates for LGBTQ+ rights, cohosts the Fear& podcast with gay content creator AustinShow, and regularly engages with his queer audience on both serious and deeply unserious matters.

In June, Piker appeared in a TikTok interview with gay Ukrainian influencer Art Bezrukavenko where he discussed his “type” if he were gay. “Bears!” he answered. “Yeah, big, burly men.”

When asked whether he would be a top or a bottom, he reconsidered. “You know what? I rescind that statement,” Piker said. “I would, uh… Troye Sivan.”

“So you like twinks?” Bezrukavenko pressed like a true journalist.

“I guess he’s a top,” Piker answered. “So maybe not.”

So there you have it: not only can the gays count on a steady stream of armpit content, the Piker/Sivan fanfics are practically writing themselves.
