Cara Delevingne marks two years with girlfriend Minke — and some folk are shocked

Model and actress Cara Delevingne has marked her second anniversary with her girlfriend, musician Minke, with a sweet Instagram posting.

Delevingne, 31, posted photos and video clips of her and Minke together. In many of them, they are kissing. The third slide, which features Billie Eilish’s “Lunch” as its soundtrack, features a risqué, topless shot (so be aware if you’re reading this somewhere public).

Delevingne is clearly besotted with Minke (aka Leah Mason).

In an accompanying caption, Delevingne says, “Two magical years with you and so many pictures of us kissing in front of things.

“These past two years have been A LOT of life. A lot of change, growth, pain and most importantly LOVE and I am so lucky to have found the perfect person to ride life’s ups and downs with. I cannot imagine living life without you.

“I spent so long looking for my partner in crime, little did I know that it would be someone I went to school with (and had a baby gay crush on). Here’s to many more years being us… keep scrolling to see a spontaneous photoshoot in Venice 🇮🇹 which we thought was a photography lesson. So happy we went through with it ❤️”

Minke also marks anniversary

Minke also marked the occasion with her own posting. She too posted a series of photos and videos, with a tender message.

“Happy anniversary to my kind, patient, limby, yummy, hilariously funny partner. Who makes me want to dance even though I’m terrible at it, and inspires me to be a better version of myself. Every day is better with your light. My rock, my safe space, my home.

“2 years baby. Feels like yesterday and forever ago. I can’t remember what life was like without your love and I never want to know. You are extraordinary and I’m literally the luckiest girl in the world. The ups and downs, the really hard times, the growth, the many spiders you’ve had to take outside – That time we got stuck at every motorway stop cause we couldn’t speak Italian and work the ticket machine. I wouldn’t change a thing.

“Thank you for showing up for us, every time. I’m so happy and grateful I get to do it all with you, and can’t wait for more life by your side @caradelevingne ❤️”

She ended it with “Let’s go lesbians!! 🌈”

Some people shocked to discover Delevingne is queer

Delevingne has previously described her sexuality as bisexual and then pansexual. She has been in previous relationships with St Vincent and actress and model Ashley Benson.

Despite these high-profile romances, it appears some of her followers and fans were still unaware she is queer. Although her anniversary posting received a flood of supportive messages (Amy Schumer posted: “I’m so happy for you. 😢”), others appeared shocked.

One woman replied, “WTF” under the posting, and earned over 3,000 likes. Delevingne responded personally, saying “GOODNYE KAREN 🌈”.

A man said under Delevingne’s post, “Well that’s upsetting.” Many others pointed out that nothing is upsetting about Delevingne and Minke’s obvious happiness with one another.

Delevingne and Minke initially kept a fairly low profile when they started dating. However, in recent months Delevingne has opened up more about her relationship. Speaking to Elle UK last July, she said, “My girlfriend has been really wonderful in introducing me to a lot of things and people.

“Being with my girlfriend, in this relationship, there are just so many things that came at once that have made me so happy and comfortable with who I am.”
