True to its name, Charli xcx’s brat girl summer is here to crash our pool party. The neon green, low-res merch accompanying Charli’s recently released sixth album just dropped to supply the official brat girl uniform, and some fans are already throwing their brattiest fits over it.

Released just last month, BRAT has quickly earned critical acclaim and Charli XCX’s highest Metacritic rating yet. But before all that, some fans were predicting failure based on the cover artwork alone — a neon green square featuring only the pixelated, lowercase title “brat.”

Charli XCX was quick to clap back at anyone writing off brutalist artwork (which has honestly been popular for a while now) as boring. “I think the constant demand for access to women’s bodies and faces in our album artwork is [misogynistic] and boring,” she wrote on X back in March.

As BRAT‘s long awaited merch drop shows, she’s in no way backing down on brat girl summer. Once you get past the login page (the password for which is simply “password”), Charli’s merch store features a variety of starkly designed apparel, accessories, and even baby clothes.

There’s the green brat shirt, modeled after the album cover, and cropped baby tee variations in black and white. Other shirts feature the phrases “365 Party Girl” and “I’m Your Favorite Reference,” and all are available for $40 USD.

For the club kids who know how to stay hydrated, there’s the neon branded water bottle for $30. For those who do want Charli herself on their merch, there’s $10 keychains that feature photos of the singer on one side and lyrics from “Club classics” and “360” on the other.

While some fans have complained that the artwork is too simple for its price, others have pointed out that the merch items available could be even brattier. Where, after all, are the brat lighters, ashtrays, dime bags, condoms and poppers?

Fortunately, this album’s aesthetic naturally lends itself to DIY merch, and plenty of fans have taken matters into their own hands

For fans craving more options for official merch, Charli XCX will likely make additional drops throughout the year. Keep an eye out when she kicks off her Sweat tour with Troye Sivan on September 14.
