On the latest episode of the popular podcast The Comment Section with Drew Afualo, sapphic superstar Chappell Roan was the extra special guest. The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer revealed tons of her personal lore, including a celebrity crush or two.

Roan and host Afualo dug deep into how her recent skyrocketing fame had changed her life, including what it’s like to suddenly have a massive fandom. When Afualo asked Roan if she’d even been a fangirl for a celebrity, and Roan quickly name-dropped Lana Del Rey.

“I feel really lesbian whenever I see a girl f*cking shredding guitar,” Roan said. “And like, Lana? Love. She shreds a cig.”

There you have it: the key to catching Roan’s attention is to rock out on the guitar (or to have a nicotine addiction). Roan even acted out the effect girl guitarists have on her: “This is what happens when I see a girl playing guitar,” she said before miming being drawn to a guitarist like a moth to a flame.

She went on to share her other recent fangirl obsession, Joan Jett, who she went down an internet rabbit hole of googling her pictures. “I think if I didn’t have a job, that she would become my job in life,” Roan admitted.

Roan and Afualo also talked about their favorite TV shows, including Family Guy, Glee, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Game of Thrones. Roan hasn’t seen House of the Dragon, she said, but that hasn’t stopped her from taking notice of the show’s stars.

“Everyone loves the lesbian-looking one,” she said, referring to House of the Dragon actor Emma D’Arcy. “I get it. I f*cking get it.”

Roan and Afualo went on to obsess over their recent dragon-inspired grills. “I saw that. I was like, ‘Damn. I might have to get a grill, I guess!’” Roan said.

Beyond her celebrity crushes, Roan also divulged her favorite drag queens, sorted by category.

“For the controversial ones, Willam and Detox. For the nice ones, Kim Chi,” she said. “I think my favorite is Sasha Colby, my girl, number one. I love Bob [the Drag Queen], and I love — f*ck it. I love Derrick Berry, slash Britney! He does a great job at Britney. But I mean, Trixie [Mattel] is so f*cking awesome.”

It’s an undeniably fabulous line-up. Maybe we’ll even see a cameo from Roan on Trixie’s YouTube channel (after her current three-month hiatus is up, of course).

Roan also addressed her unfounded industry plant allegations. “What’s so sick is that people are so stupid online, and they’re like, ‘Industry plant! Industry plant!’” she said. “And it’s like, this is my tenth year.” Roan went on to cite being professionally signed as an artist back in high school, and that her career only broke into the mainstream earlier this year.
