Julia Fox came out as a lesbian earlier this year, and now she’ll be stepping into character as a queer woman in the upcoming, sapphic romantic drama Perfect, according to Variety.

Fox will be playing the role of a wealthy pregnant woman who falls in love with a younger woman (Ashley Moore, I Know What You Did Last Summer) in a scenic lake resort in California. But they’ll soon run into trouble in paradise as Fox’s character’s due date gets closer.

Additionally, Micaela Wittman of Clairevoyent plays Fox’s closest confidant and friend as she navigates the tricky world of lesbian romance. Breakout star Lío Mehiel (Mutt) and Debi Mazar (Entourage, Younger) are also expected to join the cast as well.

MacKenzie Monroe, Liz Cardenas, Douglas Riggs, Tyler Payne are producers, while Fox and Kari Skogland are serving as executive producers.

The movie is projected to start production next month, but we don’t know much about it beyond what was released by Variety. Until then, we’ll have Fox in Steven Soderbergh’s newest film, Presence co-starring another gay icon, Lucy Liu.
