Kit Connor’s been on a fitness journey for a hot minute, but the latest paparazzi pics of the Heartstopper star show just how jacked he’s gotten.

This week, Connor was spotted hanging out in London with his Heartstopper co-stars Joe Locke, William Gao, and Tobie Donovan. They hit the town, grabbed some drinks, and generally had a gay old time — but all fans could focus on was how muscular Connor looked even in an outfit as simple as a gray tee and a pair of jeans. (Who could blame them?)

What’s inspired Connor to bulk up? It could certainly just be a personal preference for how he wants to look, but some think he’s preparing for an action-heavy role. Maybe something in the Marvel universe, alongside his friend and co-star Locke, who’ll be making his MCU debut in the Disney+ Agatha All Along in September? Only time will tell.

Some people joked that Connor’s fitness journey could be part of embracing his queer identity since coming out as bisexual after pressure from online trolls. “He got shoved out of the closet and immediately started prepping for Puerto Vallarta,” reads one viral post on X.

Others couldn’t help but think about how the Heartstopper cast is quickly out-aging its characters. Though the actors were age-appropriate when they were cast in the high school-set series’ first season, they’re growing up faster and faster, and the now 20-year-old Connor is looking less and less like the teenager he’s supposed to be playing. (Of course, we’re never going to be mad at seeing Connor on our screens, even if buying him as a 17-year-old is a bit of a stretch.)

Connor’s going to be everywhere this fall, from Season 3 of Heartstopper hitting Netflix on October 3, to making his Broadway debut as Romeo in a new production of Romeo + Juliet opposite Rachel Zegler (a role that also has fans freaking out over his physique). It’s Kit Connor’s world, and we’re more than happy to be living in it.
