Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to controversy — or to addressing it with her head held high. This time, she got negative attention for performing at a Kamala Harris rally in Atlanta.

In a cropped suit reminiscent of Harris’ typical fits, Megan performed some of her biggest hits in support of the Harris campaign, including “Mamushi,” “Savage,” and “Body” — the latter of which came with a special message on bodily autonomy. “I know my ladies in the crowd love their body,” Megan said. “And if you want to keep loving your body, you know who to vote for.”

Though Megan slayed as per usual, folks on both sides of the political aisle complained about her appearance, claiming it was performative or unprofessional: apparently dancing is now a cardinal sin. (The gays, for our part, were simply hoping Megan might be announced as Harris’ pick for vice president. Ah well, we can dream.)

That’s why Megan took the chance to clap back at her haters and show exactly why Harris is the candidate for her and her fans during her headline performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Thursday.

“They was fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala,” Megan said from the stage during her set. “And I don’t think they heard what she said. Kamala said she wants a ceasefire. Kamala said she supports women’s rights. Kamala said she’s tired of the high-*ss gas prices. Kamala said I’m for people.”

Megan ended her speech with a rallying cry to her fandom: “Hotties for Harris!”

Fans were happy to get behind Megan’s message, both amused by her word choice and excited by her political conviction. It seems the Hotties are for Harris, after all.
