You know how it is: it’s late, you’ve just left the club, and you’re fighting off a late night craving for something hot and juicy. In most circumstances, the natural choice is to head to the all-night McDonald’s near Akbar and shamelessly order a Happy Meal even though you’re a grown-ass adult.

It’s a gay rite of passage! But to some (straight) people on the Internet, it’s a national disgrace.

After one intrepid gay headed to his local McDonalds at 3am in traditional attire (harness, jockstrap) a photo taken unbeknownst to them started circulating online, and the discourse soon got hot and heavy. “Not the McBussy at no extra charge!” one commenter wrote.

After the post went viral, one user claiming to be the McTwink in the photo weighed in, and honestly, he makes a great point.

Is this not America? Are we not free? Most importantly—are you not entertained?!

One commenter was quick to point out the hypocrisy of those judging this amazing gay icon while going to bat for open carry laws.

It’s called the land of the free FOR A REASON!

“Not very demure, I’m afraid,” wrote one tongue-in-cheek poster, referencing the viral TikTok by Jools LeBron. Another commenter stated: “not everyone wants to see hole while eating… hope this helps”

To which Garrett responded, “Not everyone means some do tho.”

Well, yes! And while Garrett is not the actual McTwink/McTwunk in the photo (that honor belongs to @IllinoisTwunk) he’s serving up some hard truths in the comments.

And to the trolls saying that children shouldn’t be subjected to this and that the McTwink is “making the rest of the gays look bad,” first of all, how many children are hitting up McDonald’s at 3am, and secondly, he’s making the gays look great. Very few of us can pull off such an iconic lewk, and if you think it’s bad for the community for men to go places in harnesses and jock straps, I’m not sure you’re in the right community, friend.

But one brave commenter showed up to ask the real question, the one we’ve all been wondering this whole time. “How are you suppose to bottom after a McDonalds xl meal???”

Who said anything about bottoming?

Bottom line: they can take away our rights, they can take away our drag shows, they can try to take away our dignity. But they will never, never stop us from showing bussy on main.

Isn’t that what America’s all about?
