Uruguayan director Fede Álvarez was psyched to run into a group of fans ahead of the release of his latest film Alien: Romulus.

In a tweet posted last night, the Evil Dead (2013) director posted a photo of the fans in question with the caption: “Went to see #AlienRomulus on Thursday night and bumped into a group of alien fans. This is the best part of making movies!”

But gay fans were quite quick to point out that this wasn’t just any group of fans.

We can all agree that the best part of making movies is getting to see how many bears show up on opening night. That’s never been in dispute. And apparently this film is striking a chord with bears everywhere. They’re coming out in droves!

“Was there a screening at the Eagle?” one poster cheekily asked, referring to the well-known Los Angeles leather bar.

Why did these alleged bears all decide to see this movie together? Who knows. But clearly the film has hit the bear community where they live.

A Bear4Bear polycule? Say less.

Basically, if you’re into bears and you’re single, maybe go cruise your nearest screening of Alien: Romulus?

*Stefan voice* “New York’s hottest club is the AMC Century 15.”

We can all agree this photo is the stuff of dreams.

Honestly, we should start reviewing all movies by this new metric. Rotten Tomatoes this, certified fresh that…but how many bears showed up on opening night?

I guess all the bear lovers know what they’re doing this weekend.
