Have you ever had the urge to live as other people do? To experience the world in a completely different skin? It’s natural to engage in this kind of curiosity, and it’s part of what being human really means.

But there are some cases where natural curiosity takes people to some extremely weird and judgmental places. Scientists say you should never take on an experiment if you’re too convinced as to what the conclusion will be, and keeping an open mind is a key part of the process. It was also the part that was completely lost on former Bachelorette actor Josh Seiter, who told the world this week about an experiment he undertook to “prove” something most of us already knew.

In an appearance on the right-wing BlazeTV podcast “Prime Time with Alex Stein,” Seiter claimed that he conducted an “experiment” that had him pretending to identify as a trans woman for a period of months. He wanted to undertake the experiment to prove that “gatekeeping” and hate exist across the political spectrum, despite the fact that he admittedly received the majority of hateful comments from right wingers. But he wasn’t shy about stating his clear agenda with the hoax, likening transness to a mental disorder and dismissing trans folks as “fakers.”

“We live in a free country, you can do whatever you want,” Seiter said on the podcast, “But don’t make your fetish my truth. I don’t have to accept it.”

Seiter, who came out both as pansexual and bisexual in recent years, seems to have missed the memo that sex and gender orientation are completely different things. But that’s the least of his crimes.

The very fact that Seiter went to such lengths to “prove” a point about transness feels…well…kind of closeted.

The more details we hear about this, the stranger it all becomes.

When conservatives do this, it’s really not the serve they think it is…

Because at the end of the day, trans people are just living our lives out here, while people like Seiter are going all out to “prove” something he was already convinced of.

What Seiter might not know is that many an egg was cracked in just this way…

It’s all “i’m doing an experiment!” and “I’m trying to fool Megyn Kelly!” until sh*t starts to get real!

Is it another case of the lady protesting too much? We’ll soon find out.

It’s exhausting when people act like this, but at the end of the day, they’re only hurting themselves. Josh, should you ever decide to live your truth, all of us rainbow left wing snowflakes will rally behind you with full support.
