Vice President Kamala Harris has making sure to appeal to as broad a base as possible on the campaign trail. But after Reuters dropped news of a possible Harris appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, people are wondering what might come of it.

Rogan’s podcast is known for its aggressive right-wing stance and its target audience of disaffected young men. The show has featured a variety of guests in the past that typically conform to Rogan’s bizarre views, including the world’s richest divorced dad Elon Musk and disgraced psychologist Jordan Peterson.

This move is part of the Harris campaign’s broader efforts to appeal to younger, more centrist or conservative young men, especially Black men. Recently, Harris sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God to talk about the issues, where the two agreed that Trump represents a terrifying, possibly authoritarian future for our country if elected.

But somehow, not everyone is on the same page, and undecided voters hold the power to sway the election one way or another. On Wednesday, Harris indicated that she’s going to appear on Fox News in an exclusive interview. Trump has also indicated that he will also appear on The Joe Rogan Experience before election day.

Trump and Rogan share a complicated, controversial past. Rogan does not endorse Trump for President, instead preferring total nutjob Robert F. Kennedy. The two have insulted each other previously, though in recent months Trump admitted that he views Rogan as a “good guy.”

Rogan’s podcast has over 14 million followers on Spotify, with over 19 million followers on Instagram and 17 million on YouTube. 81% of his listeners are male, and 56% are under 35 years old. Whether Harris’s rumored appearance will help her chances with this demographic remains to be seen, but the Internet certainly has more than a few thoughts.

This election continues to be an unprecedented moment for political weirdness.
