Conservative GOP rep. Kari Lake is well known for trying to weasel her way out of answering certain questions, but this week, she may have met her match.

Last night at an Arizona debate, Lake was questioned by democratic senate candidate Ruben Gallego about her past MAGA ties.

“Will you finally tell the people of Arizona,” Gallego asked Lake, “did you win or lose that election?” He was referring to the 2022 gubernatorial election, which Lake still claims she won despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. This, added to her fondness for a Civil War-era law that would ban abortion with zero exceptions, puts her perfectly in line with the MAGA agenda.

Lake failed to answer Gallego’s question about her election denialism, and now people are pulling up past gaffes and soundbytes to make sure Lake doesn’t end up snagging Kyrsten Sinema’s seat in November.

Lake might have tried to conveniently forget her past record…but the people sure haven’t!

And if you needed a refresher about where Lake stands on queer issues, allow us to remind you of this fun fact:

When you have pundits like Charlie Kirk on your side, it doesn’t exactly strengthen your case.

As noted aspiring cabaret performer Mary Todd Lincoln’s husband once said, you can lie to some of the people all the time and to all of the people some of the time, but don’t be surprised when the people end up snatching your wig on occasion!
