The Internet is thirsting over actor Mahershala Ali, which certainly isn’t breaking news. The award-winning actor has given us so many incredible performances, from his star turn in Moonlight to his deliciously evil turn as the sharply-dressed villain Cornell Stokes on Luke Cage. More recently, he starred as Sheikh Ali Malik in Ramy, comic Ramy Youseff’s semi-autobiographical show show about an Egyptian-American man torn between his Muslim faith and his millennial peers. Ali’s character Malik has been dubbed the show’s ‘Hot Sheikh’ , and it took the Internet no time at all to start swooning over him when his character was introduced in 2020.

Now, after a viral post on X, the thirsting continues. In reaction to Adam Brody’s turn as a hot rabbi on Netflix’s new series Nobody Wants This, the people started asking some very important questions.

And they were met with responses.

Hot Sheikh Summer may have come and gone, but we will never forget it.

This was the role he was born to play.

We were not worthy!

He was the Hot Sheikh to end all Hot Sheikhs.

All we want to know is: when’s the spinoff? We’ll be seated for it.
