If you came of age in the late 90s and early 2000s, you had no shortage of bad boys with frosty tips to lust over on any given WB show. But there’s one early 2000s hunk who stands head and shoulders above the rest. I’m speaking, of course, of his right venerable excellency Chad Michael Murray.

Did he often play an obnoxious creep who uses his handsome looks to downplay the fact that his style of flirting is basically just stalking? Yes. Did he pursue Rory Gilmore shamelessly, even though she was already dating Dean? Of course. Does having three first names make him ultimately untrustworthy? Without a doubt. But do we still on every occasion love to see it? Reader, you needn’t ask.

Which is why OG fans of A Cinderella Story and a few random straight people were thrilled to see that Murray is officially going the Lindsay Lohan route with his latest career move. He will be starring in a Netflix original holiday movie this Christmas.

What is The Merry Gentlemen, you ask? Great question, and the answer is: I don’t care. Frankly neither should you. These pictures tell you absolutely everything you’d ever want or need to know about The Merry Gentlemen. It’s a film that’s bound to make many a gentleman merry, especially if he’s a fan of hot studs in Liza drag.

This may be the first we’ve yet heard of The Merry Gentlemen, but we’re already hoping there’s a sequel, prequel, and spin-off series already in the works.

Just look at that saucy green bow in his show choir bowler. Look at his satisfied expression. It’s giving Magic Mike 4: Christmas Mike.

How are we supposed to survive the Christmas season if this is what’s on deck?

If this is any indication of what’s coming our way on the streamers during the fine month of December, it shall indeed be the happiest season.

Gay people needed this, especially after this grueling election cycle. The only thing that can heal our frayed nerves is a 43-year-old man flexing pecks at the dive bar.

Chad Michael Murray, we salute you, and your shorts.
