Sims fans are falling in love with this recent update.

The Sims 4 is leaning into love with their latest expansion pack, Lovestruck. Whether you’re in need of “summer lovin'” or looking to have a “Hot Girl Summer,” Lovestruck has something for all players. The expansion pack introduces a new location called Ciudad Enamorada, a dating app, turn-ons and turn-offs, and a variety of romantic relationship dynamics, including polyamory.

That’s right, the expansion pack is creating new opportunities for Sims to connect and whether you’re playing the field or searching for a polycule, Lovestruck will help players out with that. Here’s the synopsis from The Sims 4 blog below:

“Free for all players is the new ‘Romantic Boundaries’ system that will allow you to customize your Sim’s experience with boundaries and jealousy. You can now define how your Sims approach romantic relationships in terms of physical and emotional romantic exclusivity. This allows for Sims to date multiple Sims without impact to other relationships.”

This means that the popular video game franchise shifts the reactions that different Sims experience when in relationships. In previous games, Sims were pretty monogamous, causing for jealousy and rifts to occur when Sims were non-monogamous or just little less loyal. But with the Romantic Boundaries system, you Sims can explore various relationship configurations without any complications.

The Sims continues to create updates that help different gamers feel seen. Previous updates and expansion packs have introduced new ways to express romantic attraction, sexual orientation, and gender expression. Lovestruck continues the additions that keep queer and trans gamers coming back for more from the franchise.

Lovestruck drops on July 25. Check out the full trailer below.
