After declaring an end to brat summer, Charli xcx is now getting us ready for brat fall. Two days before the start of her Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan, the “Von dutch” singer released a new remix track and announced a Brat remix album featuring 11 mysteriously untitled songs.

On Thursday, Charli took to social media to drop a remix of the track “Talk talk” with Sivan and to announce the new Brat remix album, titled Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat. “Talk talk” is out now, while the remix album is available to pre-save on Spotify. It releases on October 11.

This upcoming LP is likely the “full-length other project” Charli teased in a New York cover story last month. Although she was hesitant to refer to it as a remix album, she clarified that “it’s definitely in the bratosphere, so to speak.”

The upcoming album does contain many remixes, but it turns out there is more to it. Even though Spotify’s pre-save feature reveals the track list (which includes 18 previously released tracks from the deluxe edition), the titles of 11 new tracks are mysteriously hidden.

The track list also includes four collab remixes released earlier this year: “360 featuring robyn and yung lean,” “Von dutch a.g. cook remix featuring addison rae,” “Girl, so confusing featuring lorde,” and “Guess featuring Billie Eilish.”

Along with the new “Talk talk” remix, the full deluxe package will contain 34 songs — enough to extend the “bratosphere” into winter.

At the start of September, Charli announced the official end to brat summer, which the gays took very well. Fortunately, she was only preparing us for a new era.

In a video on TikTok, Charli described “brat” — a term that’s reached the likes of Kamala Harris and Barack Obama — as “that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes. Who feels herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of, like ,parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like, does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.”

The Charli XCX & Troye Sivan Present: Sweat Tour kicks off in Detroit on September 14 and will play a total of 22 dates across North America before concluding in Seattle on October 23.
