Pro wrestling has long been a source of gay awakenings: scantily clad, muscle-bound men oiled up and pinning each other down? It’s hard to think of a gayer activity. But actual queer representation in the sport has been painfully lacking — which is why one ultra-gay wrestler is the internet’s latest obsession.

Hunter J. Gallagher is a professional wrestler whose iconic moves and style are taking over the internet. On Instagram, he posted a highlight reel of his showing earlier this year at Alliance For All Wrestling, a wrestling organization that champions “equality, representation, love and kindness,” per its Instagram bio

The video, which is set to “All Dere” by GloRilla, shows exactly why queerness and wrestling are a match made in heaven. After stripping down to a blue speedo, Gallagher busts out moves including backflips into his opponents, slamming them to the ground with his rear end alone, and twerking over their bodies after winning the round.

When the video was reposted to X, the internet was immediately obsessed. Folks couldn’t help but draw comparisons to classic fighting games, calling for Gallagher to be a playable character in the next Tekken or Mortal Kombat release.

Gallagher responded to the attention with his own post on X. “Going viral for wrestling right now is so cool to me,” he wrote. “Growing up I always felt like I needed the representation (we have a lot of talented LGBTQ wrestlers now). Just feeling super grateful to be recognized for something I’ve worked so hard for.”

And of course, beyond Gallagher’s dazzling wrestling skills, the thirst for him is real. Luckily for any new fans of Gallagher’s, his social media is chock-full of content to keep them satisfied.
