A Heartstopper fan might have uncovered a secret about the new season

Heartstopper’s third season is just around the corner, but one of the show’s fans thinks she’s already dug up hidden info about what the new season has in store.

The inside scoop comes courtesy of X user Rei (@heartstperxjoe), who claims she made a discovery when she tried to upload clips from the upcoming season to YouTube. To promote the season, Netflix has released three sneak peeks, the newest of which shows an adorable reunion between main characters Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) in their school’s hallway. 

When Rei attempted to upload that clip to her YouTube channel, she says she found it was blocked by Netflix for copyright infringment — fair enough. But by blocking her upload, Netflix also apparently revealed the title of the episode the clip is from: “Talk.”

Rei repeated the process with the other two sneak peeks. The clip of the Heartstopper gang dancing at a party apparently comes from an episode titled “Winter,” and the clip introducing new character Michael Holden (Darragh Hand) is reportedly from an episode titled “Body.”

Those one-word titles are in line with Heartstopper’s established naming conventions. They also match the only Season 3 episode with a title officially announced by Netflix: the season’s premiere, titled “Love.”

Rei apologized to series creator Alice Oseman in a follow-up post, writing, “I’d like to apologize for leaking the titles.. but actually blame it on netflix employees it’s their fault.”

If Rei’s title predictions will be accurate remains to be seen, but now that half the season’s titles have seemingly been revealed, Netflix may as well rip off the Band-Aid and give us the rest of the names. It’s only fair!
