The upcoming third season of social deduction game show The Traitors will be the queerest yet, but that’s not all. According to contestant Bob the Drag Queen, this season will set a new bar for “manipulation” and “lies.”

The Traitors, based on the Dutch series of the same name, follows a group of around 20 contestants who arrive at a castle in the Scottish Highlands in order to play a Mafia-style game of mystery and murder. A small group of contestants are secretly selected as the “Traitors,” and their goal is to eliminate the remaining “Faithfuls” contestants to secure the prize money. The “Faithfuls,” meanwhile, are working together to expose the “Traitors” among them.

In addition to queer host Alan Cummings, Season 3 boasts a hefty queer cast list. Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause, The Bachelorette’s Gabby Windey, Survivor’s Carolyn Wiger, British aristocrat Lord Ivar Mountbatten, and Bob the Drag Queen will all be competing for the big prize.

Last season, LGBTQ+ viewers were all stabbed in the back when Drag Race’s Peppermint was eliminated early on. But Season 3’s queer cast has sheer numbers on their side.

Looking ahead to Season 3 on the Sloppy Seconds podcast, Bob the Drag Queen discussed how her work with Monét X Change prepared her for The Traitors.

“As you all know, at the beginning of my summer I went to film a little TV show called The Traitors,” Bob told hosts Big Dipper and Meatball. “All of my podcasts with Monét X Change has prepared me for this moment. The manipulation, the lies, the gaslighting, the coercion, the collusion. A contusion! Has prepared me. I’m really proud of my performance on The Traitors.”

“You know I’m a messy b*tch who likes to fight,” Bob went on. “I’m a messy b*tch who likes drama.”

“Justice for Pep, by the way,” Bob added, giving a nod to Peppermint’s legacy.

Although the release date for the Season 3 has not yet been announced, we’ll get to see Bob the Drag Queen and the rest of the queer cast avenge Peppermint when The Traitors returns to Peacock in 2025.
