Bowen Yang and his Las Culturistas podcast co-host Matt Rogers were guests on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week During their interview, host Andy Cohen invited them to play ‘Truth or Kink’.

The game involves them answering a question truthfully or facing a kink-related punishment. In this case, Rogers donned a pair of vibrating underpants. He was zapped if someone declined to give an honest answer.

At one stage, Bowen, who has been on Saturday Night Live for five years, was asked, “Without naming names, what’s the worst SNL host behavior you’ve witnessed.”

“Oh my God,” replies Bowen, taking a second to think. “Well, this man, this person, this host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday before the table read because he hated the ideas,” replied Bowen, without giving any more details.

Elevator sketch

Elsewhere in the show, Bowen was asked which of his SNL sketches had proved the “biggest bomb”. He said it was one involving him and guest host Ayo Edebiri.

“When Ayo Edebiri hosted this past season, we wrote a live sketch where it took place in an elevator, and she and I were, like, telling everyone that we should all make out or something because the elevator got stuck,” he recalled.

“Then, for some reason, it got turned into a pre-tape under our noses, and we had to adapt to that… It just didn’t go as well as I had hoped.”

“And you just deal with it,” he added. “Comedy’s subjective, you never know how it’s gonna play in front of a specific audience. But it’s fine, you let it roll off your back.”

That sketch can still be found on YouTube. Was it really THAT bad?

Since Bowen’s appearance, SNL fans have taken to Reddit to discuss who the hard-to-please special guest might have been. Names suggested, all of whom have hosted in the last five years, include Elon Musk, Jonathan Majors, Woody Harelson, or old-school stand-up comics such as Eddie Murphy, Bill Burr, or Dave Chappelle.
