Rihanna just announced her next big project — and no, it’s not an album.
Instead, she’s launching Fenty Hair, a line of hair care products under Rihanna’s massively successful Fenty Beauty brand.
“Hair has always been very personal to me,” Rihanna said in a promotional video. “It’s an outlet of self-expression, creativity. I feel like it’s also been markers of my evolution and growth over the years, both as an artist and as a person, so launching Fenty Hair was something I was really, really passionate about.”
“I wanted to create a lineup of products that were easy to use and included repair in every step,” she continued. “I also needed products that could keep up with me and fit into my lifestyle, which we all know is crazy.”

It’s unclear exactly what the products will be, particularly given the vagueness of the line’s main promo video and Rihanna’s photoshoot to go with it, which sees her sporting a honey blonde pixie cut.
But not knowing what the line would entail did nothing to stop Rihanna’s fans from memeing the announcement to oblivion. That included everything from posts predicting exactly what Fenty Hair will do for their style..

…to celebrating (and poking fun at) Rihanna’s latest iconic look.
Others made references to other iconic pixie cuts on queer celebs. Pose’s Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Monet X Change even replied to the jokes fans made about their iconic hair moments.
Folks also pointed out that Rihanna is the second music superstar to enter the hair care game in recent month, following Beyoncé’s launch of Cécred in February. Might there be a rivalry brewing?
Fenty Hair releases to the public on June 13, with early access available on June 10. Sign up for early access here.
