A makeup influencer on TikTok has begun to go viral with a series of tutorials based on politicians.

Landon Reid, 24, otherwise known as drag queen June Rogers, first turned their attention to lawmakers when people began commenting on JD Vance appearing to wear eyeliner. Reid did a video to show how to get the Vance eye look. It proved unusually popular.

The recent Republican National Convention provided plenty of further inspiration. As we reported before, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz gave a speech. However, the only thing anyone was talking about was his frozen face.

Reid produced a video on how to get the Gaetz appearance, using plenty of shading and blending. They pay particular attention to how to achieve Gaetz’s evil Queen “Bring-Me-Snow-White’s-Heart eyebrows.”

Reid followed this up with a Donald Trump tutorial.

“My motto to life is ‘Kill them with kindness’ because if nothing else, it makes you sympathetic to the jury,” Reid told Pride. “And so it was just so funny pointing out the hypocrisy of these men who will say men shouldn’t wear makeup and drag queens are destroying the foundation of society when the men wear more makeup than I do when I’m in drag.”

Reid’s makeup tutorials prompted backlash from conservatives. Some messaged Reid to say they wouldn’t dare to do Kamala Harris because of the risk of blackface accusations. Reid responded with a Harris makeup tutorial that did not revert to blackface.

Despite this one Democrat, Republicans appear to slaver on lots more makeup and provide a deeper mine of inspiration for Reid.

This week the budding actor produced a Kimberly Guilfoyle makeup lesson, complete with some very heavy eye makeup.

As for his own politics, Reid makes no bones of the fact they’re hoping for a Harris victory this November.

“Liberals get very hung up on perfectionism as opposed to tiny steps that are better than what we had before,” the TikToker told Pride. “Is Kamala Harris a perfect candidate? No, because we’re never going to have a perfect candidate. Is she significantly better? Absolutely. And is voting for her going to be so very beneficial for queer people, for women, for people of color? Yes, it will.”
